Spring 2013 sees new Vans California and OTW models hit Kith NYC doors. The Vans California Sk8 Hi ($70 USD) returns in two new palm graphics seen printed around the silhouette. The multi-material design features small additions such as suede accenting and mesh lining for breathability. The high cut shoe includes a padded collar and footbed for additional comfort, while below is Vans’ popular vulcanized rubber outsole for durability and grip. The OTW Stovepipe ($95 USD) from Vans is a deconstructed, slimmed down mid-top design. The upper utilizes a hidden gillie lacing system and is grounded on a slimmer vulcanized outsole and tread. The Zoom Hyperfranchise XD ($135 USD) is an athletic shoe ready to take over the court. Its upper features primarily Hyperfuse for lightweight breathability, while below sits an XDR outsole designed to withstand playing outdoors. Extra additions include two-tone laces and overlays at the toe for durability. The ever-popular Roshe Run ($70 USD) returns in a new grey colorway that balances innovation and design with a ripstop nylon upper. The midsole includes a Solarsoft sockliner for lightweight cushioning that sits on top of a contrasting colored rubber outsole. Finally comes the Lunarflash+ ($100 USD), Nike’s fresh new runner. The shoe features upgrades such as Lunarlon technology, a mesh inner sleeve for breathability, a TPU reinforced heel for stability, and a rubber waffle sole. Each Lunarflash+ is Nike+ ready, and this season sees the model drop in a mixed grey and orange color choice. The Nike Air Max 1 Premium ($110 USD) is turning heads with its new denim makeup. The shoe includes all standard Air Max 1 detailing, but with an added grey denim upper with leather accents on the swoosh and panel stitching at the bottom from toe to heel. Finishing touches include matching laces, orange sockliner, outsole, and tongue branding to wrap it all together. This Air Max 97 QS ($160 USD) comes from the new Spring 2013 ‘Milan’ pack and has been reworked with Nike’s Hyperfuse technology. Extremely clean, the shoe features all over grey suede construction with a full length volt air bubble and matching sockliner. adidas and Japan’s XLARGE join forces once again for the “Giraffe” Superstar 80s. The shoe offers a bold take on the iconic low-top style in a smooth black nubuck upper that’s complete with giraffe printed overlays. Hits of gold adidas foil branding are seen on the heel, and extra additions include the traditional Superstar toecap. Boston retailer Bodega and Saucony present yet another Elite G9 collection. The G9 Shadow 6 and the G9 Control come in bold colorway that mixes plenty of clashing colors along with leopard print. The Shadow 6 comes in a leopard make up with tan mixtures, hits of red and purple. The first G9 Control releases in grey with hits of navy, purple and tan. Both styles are available in limited quantities at Kith Manhattan.

Tokyo’s favorite mita sneakers joins forces with adidas Originals once again for a superb new colorway of the retro ZX 8000 runner. The updated ZX 8000 features a mesh, leather and suede mixed upper, with subtle hits of black, light grey and green color combinations.
