Everything before now has lead up to this point and after almost a full year of designing for one release, I’m proud to finally present the Kith Spring 2014 Indigo Collection. This 30 piece release will officially mark Kith’s first full-fledged apparel collection. The Indigo label tells a material story of three very specific denim washes and was created with the idea of building a line of denim that can be worn comfortably. After a long process of finding the perfect coloring, the three washes include Rinsed, Medium and Vintage – from darkest to lightest – inspired by the lifespan of regular denim that grows from raw to vintage. Each piece provides a smart sport comfort fit that’s taken from standard denim washes. Now, being able to offer that familiar effect of denim alongside cotton french terry for comfort is truly the evolution of style for a new age.

Every piece in the collection is taken through a very complex factory process. The Spring 2014 Indigo collection is a lot more intricate than standard single dye processes as used on most regular denim products. Here, each fabric is specifically dyed and then continuously washed to the color you’re looking for. The Rinsed, Medium and Vintage washes take on different processes to get just the right color shade. The collection looks to evolve characteristics that are taken from denim, but re-worked for everyday wear with a true sport comfort fit.

The full range starts with tops, with the tailored Barrow asymmetrical button-down in three distinct two-tone styles that uses all three washes. The Lenox quilted snap button-down arrives in two versions with an elongated fit. The Cortlandt striped button-down is featured in two color choices with vintage washed denim and color coordinated nylon tech fabrics. The Thompson raglan crewneck sees three colorways that use all three distinct washes, while the Fulton hoodie will release in four color options that include added features for fit, breathability and comfort. The Astor bomber jacket has been completely re-invented in three bold colors and with sturdy nylon tech outer shells. The bottoms include the Great Jones pant, a short/pant hybrid that sees a lightweight tech cotton poly blend short and a fitted 380 GSM cotton french terry attached pant under layer. The popular Kith Bleecker pant returns but with an all new true-to-size fit in all three Rinsed, Medium and Vintage washes.

The Spring 2014 Indigo releases will be broken down into three separate drops – the first coming April 26th, then May 3rd and finally May 10th. The lookbook also features footwear that will only be available at Kith stores, with the newly designed Ronnie Fieg x Clarks Kildare releasing on April 26th, the 1st installment of the Ronnie Fieg for Sebago Summer 2014 collection, and two ASICS Gel Lyte III global exclusive re-issues.

The “Running Since ’96″ pack from Saucony and London’s own Offspring shop pushes a relationship between two unique Shadow 6000 designs. Inspired by the ‘We Run’ slogan found on the boxes of Saucony’s performance running shoes, the name “Running Since ’96″ represents Offspring’s first store on Neal Street in London. The project visits Saucony’s running heritage and includes premium pig suede with color hits inspired by the cobbled streets of Offspring’s Covent Garden location. For the first time ever, Saucony Originals produces a fully unisex collaboration.
